Yes — you can sync Naukri applications with a shortlisting tool. Stay logged into Naukri the way you already do, and the Naukri recruiter downloader can pull new Applies to one destination per run: your computer, Google Drive, an ATS webhook, or SafalHires AI screening. You do not need Naukri to “open an API” for that path, and you should not treat RMS as the only place those CVs can live. The how-to for each destination is in export options for Naukri Applies. Ranking is SafalHires screening if you pick that destination. This page is why you would bother, and when you would not.
Naukri is a source. A shortlisting tool is a destination. Sync is the pipe between them.
Treat Naukri as a source, not a filing cabinet
Indian staffing desks already know the failure mode: 150 Applies, 80 download clicks, a zip on the desktop, and ranking that never happens because the day ended. RMS keeps the names on Naukri. Your actual screening — if you have any — happens in Drive, an ATS, or an AI list. Until those systems receive the files, they are guessing from a partial pile.
Syncing is the decision to stop re-typing the same people. It is not a strategy change by itself. If you sync into a folder and still read in arrival order, you have only moved the unread pile. If you sync into a ranked tool, you have changed the job. That second outcome is what AI shortlisting for staffing agencies is for: 4–6 hours of triage is the cost of an unranked, unsynced inbox.
Why a recruiter still downloads 80 resumes by hand
Because Naukri does not ship a one-click “send all Applies to my ATS” button that most small agencies can use. Official integrations exist for some enterprise setups. Most 10–40 recruiter shops do not have them. So the human becomes the integration: open, download, rename, upload. That is why the Naukri Chrome extension category exists at all — it uses the session you already have, without storing a Naukri password.
Storing applies is not ranking them. If client-ready names come from a scored list, those files have to leave Naukri on purpose, not as a weekend ZIP.
Two recruiters downloading the same Applies list, or one skipping page two because Naukri showed 40 names until someone changed Show. Sync with skip-already-pulled is how that waste stops.
AI that never received Thursday’s Applies will look “weak” on Friday. That is a pipe problem, not a model problem.
What syncing actually looks like after you pull Applies
One run, one destination. That constraint matters. You pick PC, Drive, webhook, or SafalHires before you press Start. You do not fan the same run to four places. Credits, on the SafalHires add-on, are one per new resume that actually arrives; duplicates and failed deliveries are not billed. Those mechanics belong on the export-options page. The decision here is which destination matches the bottleneck.
| If your bottleneck is… | Sync to |
|---|---|
| I just need the PDFs today | This computer |
| The team already lives in Drive | Google Drive folder per job |
| We already have an ATS that can take a POST | Signed webhook |
| We need ranking, not another folder | SafalHires AI screening |
Sync to a shortlisting tool when unread Applies are stealing recruiter days. Sync to Drive or a webhook when storage is the only gap. Skip a new tool if five people can still finish the pile by lunch.
When syncing is worth it, and when it is not
Worth it: Hot Vacancy or classified roles that dump 100+ Applies; more than one recruiter on the same Naukri job; a shortlisting product that is otherwise scoring email and LinkedIn with Naukri missing. Not worth it yet: a niche JD with 12 applies you will read anyway; a compliance freeze on any add-on (then you need a different, slower pipe); a team that will not open the ranked list after sync — you will pay for files nobody reviews.
You still post on Naukri, still use Resdex if that is your hunt channel, still obey Naukri’s session. Sync moves copies of resumes you were entitled to download. It does not scrape the whole portal.
If the goal is to stop manual screening, syncing into SafalHires is the whether that matches the product. If the goal is “our ATS must hold every CV,” the webhook is the whether. Do not buy AI screening only to park PDFs. Do not expect Drive to rank.
The how-to lives on a different page
Install the pipe from the Naukri recruiter downloader. Destinations, Drive permissions, webhook fields, credits, and the Show-menu trap (Naukri listing 40 until you change it) are documented in Naukri Resume Downloader export options. Use this page to decide if a pipe should exist. Use those pages to wire it. Mixing the two is how articles become manuals nobody finishes.
Questions before you install anything
Can I sync Naukri applications with a shortlisting tool?
Yes. A Chrome add-on can send Applies to PC, Drive, an ATS webhook, or SafalHires AI. Naukri does not have to be where you rank. Install the add-on from the Chrome Web Store.
Do I need an official Naukri API?
Not for the add-on path. It runs in the tab you are already logged into. We do not ask for a Naukri password.
Should every agency sync into AI screening?
Only if ranking is the bottleneck. If you just need files in an ATS or Drive, those destinations are enough.
Decide the destination, then pull Applies once.
The pipe is the Naukri recruiter downloader. Ranking those files is SafalHires screening — only if you pick that destination.
