A Naukri Chrome extension is a browser add-on that runs inside the Naukri tab you are already logged into. It helps recruiters by bulk-pulling applicant resumes from an Applies list so they do not click Download eighty times, rename files, and upload them somewhere else. It does not replace Naukri, Resdex, or an AI shortlisting tool. It is the pipe. The worked example is SafalHires Naukri Resume Downloader: stay in session, pick a destination, press Start.
The add-on does not log into Naukri for you. You stay logged in. That is the point.
An add-on that works inside the Naukri tab you already use
Indian recruiters already live in Chrome with Naukri open. A Chrome extension (Chrome Web Store language: add-on) attaches to that tab. When you are on an Applies page, it can walk the list and fetch each new resume using the same session cookie Naukri already issued to you. No unofficial “give us your password” form. No second Naukri login to remember.
That design is why agencies should be suspicious of any tool that asks for a Naukri user ID and password. The category that belongs on a staffing desk uses the open session. SafalHires does not store Naukri credentials. If a founder is signing off security, that sentence is the one to keep.
The add-on rides the tab. If you log out of Naukri, it cannot pull. That is a feature, not a gap.
Naukri defaults to 40 applicants until you change Show. The add-on cannot download names that are not loaded. Humans forget this; then they think the tool “missed 110 people.”
You open a requirement’s Applies list and run. It is not a silent scrape of the whole portal. It is bulk download of a list you were going to click through anyway.
Stay logged in — that is the whole security model
Staffing owners worry about sharing Naukri seats. An add-on should not become a second set of keys. Session-based access means the recruiter who is allowed to see Applies is the one whose browser runs the pull. When they close the laptop, the pipe stops. Compare that to exporting a password into a vendor dashboard. The second model is how agencies get into trouble.
It is not a hack, not a Resdex crawler, and not a way to view profiles your Naukri plan does not include. If a Chrome listing promises that, do not install it.
Chrome Store also lists importers such as AgentR and Vultus that pull Naukri profiles into their ATS or a ZIP. Those are neighbors in the same category. Ours is Applies on your own Naukri session, then PC, Drive, a webhook, or SafalHires — not a Resdex scrape. The install page is naukri-resume-downloader.
Bulk-pull Applies instead of eighty separate clicks
The help is time and completeness. Clicking Download on each name produces skipped pages, duplicate files, and a ZIP nobody ranked. A bulk pull sends every new resume to one destination: this computer, Google Drive, an ATS webhook, or SafalHires AI. Credits on the SafalHires add-on are one per new resume that actually arrives; duplicates already pulled (including by a teammate on a shared key) cost nothing. Failed deliveries refund. Those rules, and the four destinations, are in export options for the Naukri Resume Downloader.
Whether you should sync into a shortlisting tool at all — versus Drive or a webhook — is a separate whether: can I sync Naukri applications with a shortlisting tool. The extension is how. That article is why.
A Hot Vacancy week with 80 new applies is 80 downloads, 80 saves, 80 uploads if your ATS cannot ingest Naukri. The add-on collapses that to one Start. It does not collapse the ranking job. Unread files in Drive are still unread.
A worked example: SafalHires Naukri Resume Downloader
Install from the Naukri recruiter downloader page, open Naukri, go to Applies, pick a destination, press Start. Signup includes 100 free downloads; unused free credits expire 30 days after signup. You can stop at files on disk. You can send the same category of pull into SafalHires so the pile is scored against the JD — which is how this add-on connects to stopping manual resume screening. The add-on and SafalHires screening remain separate products with separate credits. Connecting them is a destination choice, not a forced bundle.
| Recruiter job | Add-on helps? |
|---|---|
| Get Applies off Naukri without 80 clicks | Yes — this is the category |
| Stay in the logged-in Naukri session | Yes — by design |
| Rank against a JD | Only if destination is AI screening |
| Search Resdex / post Hot Vacancy | No — still Naukri itself |
| Replace RMS as a pipeline of record | No — it is a pipe, not an ATS |
What a Chrome add-on will not do for you
It will not make a bad JD attract better people. It will not verify phone numbers. It will not be a sourcing strategy. Used well, it removes the stupid part of inbound: fetching files you already have a right to download. Used poorly, it fills Drive with PDFs nobody opens. Pair it with ranking if screening time is the 4–6 hour daily hole. Pair it with nothing extra if you truly only needed the files.
Questions before you add it to Chrome
What is a Naukri Chrome extension?
A browser add-on in the Naukri tab you are already logged into. It bulk-pulls Applies so you do not click Download on every name. The SafalHires product is the Naukri recruiter downloader — install it from the Chrome Web Store.
Does it need my Naukri password?
SafalHires Naukri Resume Downloader does not. It uses the open session. We never ask for a Naukri username or password.
Will it replace RMS or AI shortlisting?
No. It is a pipe. Ranking and pipeline are other layers. Destination is a choice you make per run.
